Michael Gove was bad enough but now we have the new education secretary, Nicky Morgan, spouting negative comments about the value of arts subjects in education. She must be forgetting about all the theatres, art galleries and music events etc. that tourists come to see every year. Also, how are we going to design the look of our buildings without any artistic ability. The STEM subjects, as she calls them (Science, Technology, English and Maths) are important but without any creativity, we are going to be producing the same work in those fields over and over again!
