I came across singer/songwriter Mara Simpson recently through the song Fine Lines. I found out that she was funding the recording through crowd funding and I thought it might be interesting to cover the progress of the recording of her EP.
She had her first two days of recording recently at Tricone Studios, in the Funkhaus building in Berlin. Tricone Studios has a great selection of microphones so I look forward to hearing the results of the recording.
Mara is working o-producer Mihali Paleologou, engineer Jonny Zoum and on the first recording session with her drummer Rene Corbett using a vintage Rogers drum kit.
